Overseas Education Programs

Program type is the decision from the country. Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degrees, language training and working models walk through different application systems, calendars and visa categories.

This page for whom

  • The ones who have not yet decided which type of program is suitable for him
  • Those who want to understand the difference of licensing application systems
  • Work with language training & Those who want to clarify the separation between the study
  • Those who want to set the calendar according to the type of program

First program, then country

The overseas education decision is often given in the wrong order: the country is selected, then the appropriate program is sought in that country. The more realistic row is the opposite. Home application system, calendar and visa category vary depending on program type — not by country.

For example, the bachelor’s degree application in the UK walks from the central UCAS system and a nationally stable calendar; the Master’s Degree application in the same country is made directly to the university and changes to the program from the calendar program. Two processes are similar to each other, although they are in the same country.

How to separate types of programs

Bachelor’s DegreeCentralized system or direct university by countryGenerally fixed at national levelLong term student visa
MasterMostly direct universityProgram changes to programLong term student visa
Language schoolDirect schoolStarting dates for the yearShort or long term
Work & StudyCountry specific — there is no single systemBased on country and programSpecific to the country; the right to work is arranged separately

Each line in the table is one Structure shows the difference. The conditions of single programs vary again within this structure; the binding information is always the publication of the respective institution.

Which program fits you

The decision becomes clear in four headers:

  • Academic history. Is it a high school? What programs do the match in the transkript?
  • Language level. Is there a document in the program language, or if you need language training?
  • Calendar. How many months are there for the targeted start period? The last date of some systems is closed from one year before.
  • Budget structure. Training fee, administrative contribution, life expenses and The amount required to be shown in the visa phase separate pencils.
Frequent mixing point

Visa should be shown for a no spending pen; the account is required during the application. This distinction should not be mixed in the budget planning.
