Higher education system
High school Bologna structure in Italy:
- Laurea — bachelor’s degree, 3 years, 180 ECTS.
- Laurea magistrale — Master, 2 years, 120 ECTS.
- Laurea magistrale a ciclo unico — the program combined in areas such as medicine, law, architecture.
- AFAM — beautiful arts, music and design academys; they have their own accepted procedures.
Application structure
There is no central application portal in Italy; academic application is done directly to the university. In parallel, the front record for non-EU students is completed. Two processes do not replace each other.
In some programs (especially in medical and health areas) are applied at national level. Each year is also announced by the exam calendar and the ministry with us.
War logic
In government universities, the tuition fees is stepped according to the ISEE certificate, which shows the financial status of the family. Students living abroad organize ISEE parificato. The highest level is applied when the document is submitted. Menemes and amounts are published at the expense of each university.
Visa and study right
For training purposes exceeding 90 days, national (D type) student visa is required. Annual year for the academic year of 2026-2027 and 2027-2028, as a Maddi qualification 10.179,85 € said. Why do training fees vary from person to person in Italy?
Because in government universities, the tuition fees is stepped according to the ISEE document showing the family’s income and asset status. For those living abroad, this account is made with ISEE parificato. The highest level is applied if the document is not available.
What is Universitaly?
Italy is the portal of the Ministry of University and Research. Students from non-EU countries make pre-registration (preiscrizione) through this portal as part of the registration process to the university. Visa application is the prerequisite.
Do you need to know Italian?
English education programs are not required. In Italian programs, usually B2 level document is desired.
