Reading the budget correctly
Tuition in Dubai varies considerably by institution and programme. Application, enrolment, visa sponsorship, insurance and accommodation can be separate items.
In a scholarship or discount offer, the renewal condition, minimum grade and scope of the reduction must be checked in the written document.
Do not pay before you have seen in writing which items a single 'package price' contains. Read the refund terms before payment.
Visa, residence and work
A student residence permit can be arranged through a licensed educational institution or an eligible family sponsor. The university facilitates the application for an enrolled student; the final decision rests with the competent immigration authority.
Work authorisation is not automatically granted by the student residence document. To take up employment, the necessary permission route must be confirmed separately through the employer and the competent authorities.
